I started taking hypnotherapy course some time ago because there was something in there that pulled me in. I am quite excited about this journey and the realizations that I have already got during the process.
I enjoy giving the gift of hypnosis to people who are ready to change or just curious- it is life altering (to a happier one). I have seen real shifts in clients during just one meeting.

But what I have experienced is also the resistance and fear around it. It makes total sense, no judgements here. First of all it is not for everyone and second, each and every one has their own set of beliefs and fears or positive excitement around the topic.
But what urged me to write this piece is to bring the attention to the fact that to some extent most of the people are “hypnotized” every day without even realizing it.

What I mean here about hypnotization is giving suggestions to people about how to act or feel in a state where a person is open to receive and act/change based on it. I recently had one of those recognition moments. Namely, I received a message to pick up a package from the parcel machine. For some reason I felt the urge to pick it up the same day, even if it was not convenient. I noticed the urgency and decided not to pick it up after all, as I realized there is no real urgency there. But later when I checked the text from courier company again, I understood where it came from. In the text it was written already suggestively: “Thank you for picking the parcel up quickly“. Meaning the suggestion was to be quick and as it already is a fact (and my understanding of quick was today) and I initially wanted to act on it.

These suggestions surround us everywhere. The good news is that we can choose to be aware about it and make the decision best for us.

Be curious, be brave, be you
