If you have ever seen the Harry Potter movies you may be familiar with the scene were the students face their fears and dismantle them by creating something hilarious out of it. It is not Sci-Fi, it actually works.<\/p>\n

Most people grow up in fear-based environment. Fear of punishment, fear of losing something and so on. But rarely anyone actually questions the fear. So it builds up in the body and stops you from taking chances, leaps of faith and so on. Until it does not.<\/p>\n

Years ago I used to have nightmares, the ones where I was in paralyzed awaken state. I was not able to move my body but I was conscious of my surrounding. And during these moments, a dark, vicious, scary creature with red piercing eyes would stand next to my bed. I do not care about any scientific reasoning or explanation of those moments because for me it felt and was real – it was happening. <\/p>\n

I was discussing it with a friend and she had the same thing. What she suggested at the time was laughter at the creature. It seemed nearly impossible to find it funny while the body was frozen. But I gave it a try. I faced the creature next to my bed and deep inside me a kind of forced laughter started. And so my nightmare ended.<\/p>\n

Now, years later, I understand it in a deeper way. Fear, however serious it may seem, is always possible to be seen through humor. Depending of your overall state of being, it can be easier or seem a bit more difficult at the beginning. <\/p>\n

Couple of things I use when fear tries to kick in. Let’s say it is fear of accepting abundance and a lot of cash. You’d be surprised to know that most people fear being rich more than not being rich. So what I do, I imagine a stack of cash, happy and smiling walking towards me and I being afraid of it. I create a cartoon like scenario out of it and I can see the ridiculousness of the fear immediately. Another example. I still had some eerie feelings at night, as if something or someone was in the room. I immediately switched my state of being and decided those are some cute teddy bears or something similar, and ease and comfort came to my body. <\/p>\n
